About
Who is Invisible College?
Invisible College is a mixed and motley group of disciples who take seriously our enrollment in the school of Jesus. We’re connecting the dots between the message from long ago and far away and the tangible realities of daily life on planet earth. Assembled from various Christian communities and churches to learn and to spark ideas, we’re trying to fuse word and world. Ideas are important to us; so is practical payoff.
What Does Invisible College Do?
At Invisible College, ancient wisdom meets everyday life. Invisible College checks the pulse of culture, seeking signs of life and diagnosing damage. We venture out into today’s world, bringing salty contrasts and prying open cracks that let light in. We explore what the Bible says about things the Bible says nothing about. We won’t find cyberspace or cappuccino, globalization or golf in the scrolls of Scripture. But we’re discovering that the resources to examine and confront them are right there.
Invisible College runs evening courses, conferences and workshops on issues that close the reality gap between Christ and culture. Previous topics include ‘Thinking about Things: Technology Today’ and ‘Christians and Globalization.’
